Photo uploads are now available on Instagram’s desktop version

Instagram desktop users will soon be able to upload new photographs and videos, as part of a slew of new features the Facebook-owned social network is rolling out this week. While you can access Instagram from a desktop browser and peruse your timeline, you must use the mobile applications to actually post.
Instagram claims that this is soon to change. The business promises to make it possible to publish to Instagram via a desktop browser on October 21. The app’s current limitations will apply, so you’ll be able to mix photographs and movies that are less than 60 seconds long.
While Instagram’s popularity grew largely due to its mobile app, access to the same functionalities on the desktop has been a long-requested demand. The ability to modify photographs and video in desktop programmes and then upload the more polished results will be a windfall for companies and professional content providers that rely on Instagram for visibility. We had hoped that after a testing of the function earlier this year, it would be made widely available.
Meanwhile, Instagram is providing some new collaboration tools to people who are still using the applications. Instagram Collabs will allow two people to collaborate on posts and reels. You’ll be able to invite someone to share the post with you now, thanks to the current tagging system.
If they accept the invitation, the ensuing photographs and videos will appear on both people’s timelines, where their respective audiences may see them. Likes, views, and comments from both timelines will be synced.
In the meantime, additional fundraising options will be introduced to postings. By using the “+” button, you’ll be able to add a new nonprofit choice to your fundraising list.
Instagram is also rolling out new Reels effects, which include 3D lyrics that sync with music and other special effects related to the background sound. The goal, obviously, is to encourage users to utilise original Reels instead of rehashed TikTok video, which is still prevalent.
The new features will be gradually introduced starting today and will be widely available by the end of the week.
